The 11-mile navigable saltwater lagoon is fantastic for boating (electric motor only), fishing, kayaking, and a scenic setting for any of the Palmetto waterfront homes or villas situated along with it. You'll find an abundance of walking and biking trails, and, for those who prefer transportation, a complimentary taxi system for owners and guests that's offered most of the year called the “Palmetto Dunes Buggy.” Boating is conveniently accessed out of the deepwater harbor of Shelter Cove.
